Majerić acts as the data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 — "GDPR") and the Croatian Act on the Implementation of the GDPR.

2. What data we collect

Through this website and our business activities, we may collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Contact form on the website: full name, phone number, email address, description of the situation / vehicle location.
  • Phone calls and WhatsApp messages: phone number, content of the communication, vehicle and location details you voluntarily provide.
  • Email communication: content of messages sent to info@majeric.net or any other addresses under the majeric.net domain.
  • Analytics data (only with consent): IP address (anonymised), device type and browser, pages visited, time of visit, source of visit — via Google Analytics 4.
  • Technical data: server logs (Netlify) including IP address and timestamp — used solely for website security and protection against attacks.

3. Purpose of processing

  • Providing the towing and roadside assistance service you requested.
  • Responding to your enquiries sent via the form, phone, WhatsApp or email.
  • Issuing invoices and fulfilling legal obligations (tax, accounting).
  • Analysing website traffic to improve content (with your consent).
  • Protecting the website from attacks and abuse.

4. Legal basis for processing

  • Performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — for processing your enquiries and providing the service.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) — for issuing invoices and keeping accounting records.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — for website security and basic technical health monitoring.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — for analytics cookies (Google Analytics). You may withdraw consent at any time.

5. Third parties (processors)

In delivering the service we work with the following vetted processors:

  • Netlify, Inc. (USA) — website hosting and contact form submissions. Netlify is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Privacy policy.
  • ImprovMX (France / EU) — email forwarding from the majeric.net domain. Privacy policy.
  • Google LLC (Google Analytics) — only if you consent to analytics cookies. IP address is anonymised. Privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal data and do not share it with unauthorised third parties.

6. Data retention

  • Form / email enquiries: 12 months from the last communication.
  • Invoices and accounting records: 11 years (legal obligation).
  • Analytics data: up to 14 months (Google Analytics default).
  • Technical logs: 30 days.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights:

  • Right of access to your personal data (Art. 15)
  • Right to rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
  • Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") (Art. 17)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20)
  • Right to object to processing (Art. 21)
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7)

8. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP):

9. Data security

All data is transmitted over a secure HTTPS connection (TLS 1.3). Access to data is limited to authorised personnel within Majerić Ltd. Our service providers are vetted and contractually bound to protect data in accordance with the GDPR.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as needed. The date of the last update is shown at the top. We will highlight any material changes on the website.
